September is Guide Dog Access Awareness Month and CNIB urgently needs your help.

Since the pandemic began, the demand for CNIB Guide Dogs has sky-rocketed. Although COVID-19 restrictions are lifting, the backlog of need remains at crisis levels.

Please become a CNIB Guide Dogs monthly supporter today.

As a monthly donor, you’ll receive regular updates on the puppies in training. And as a small token of our enormous gratitude, we’ll also send you a fridge magnet featuring a puppy with purpose.

From Puppies To Partners

It takes time to train these extraordinary dogs. Your support each month means we can be there every step of the way, for their entire working lives.

15-21 MONTHS

Time to get serious! The puppy is introduced to the harness and works with a guide dog trainer to learn all aspects of guide dog mobility.

The puppy is matched with a Canadian with sight loss, their new best friend and handler. They learn to work together on a journey that you made possible!

Together, the guide dog and handler navigate through all life has to offer with confidence and independence.

At around age 10, the guide dog will retire and become a beloved family pet.

Your Donations At Work

Once a puppy with purpose is fully trained and graduates, he or she is matched with a Canadian with sight loss, who receives their new partner at no cost, thanks to you.

Your vital monthly support funds the raising and training of our puppies, but it also provides the life-changing gifts of freedom, mobility, independence and safety to Canadians in need.
